Entre a meditação e a comunicação: os olhares de Habermas e Ortega Y Gasset frente aos avanços tecnológicos na sociedade

Resumo

Neste trabalho, realizamos uma comparação entre o pensamento de Habermas e Ortega y Gasset no que diz repeito ao processo de construção e das consequências do desenvolvimento tecnológico. Para esse estudo, utilizamos como referência principal a obra Meditação da Técnica de Ortega, e o trabalho do autor germânico conhecido como Técnica e Ciência como "Ideologia". Através da leitura e análise desses dois livros, percebemos que ambos os pensadores possuíam uma visão semelhante no que diz respeito às consequências do avanço tecnológico. Se por um lado os dois escritores observaram que esse avanço proporcionou um domínio pleno do homem perante a utilização da técnica, por outro trouxe uma espécie de crença ilimitada do progresso. Pensando nas consequências desse avanço desenfreado da técnica na esfera social, Habermas e Ortega indicaram uma possível saída para esse problema. Era necessário dar uma atenção mais concisa à vida humana em meio ao intenso desenvolvimento tecnológico. Essa atenção seria percebida pelo autor hispânico através do conceito de "raciovitalismo", e pelo pensador germânico diante da noção de "ação comunicativa".

Between Meditation and Communication: The looks of Habermas end Ortega y Gasset front to technological advances in society

Abstract

In this work, we made a comparison between the thought of Habermas and Ortega y Gasset said with regard to the process of construction and of the consequences of technological development. For this study, we used as a main reference the work Meditation Technique of Ortega, and the work of the author Germanic known as Art and Science as "Ideology". Through the reading and analysis of these two books, we realized that both thinkers had a similar vision as regards the consequences of technological progress. On the one hand, the two writers have observed that this progress has resulted in a field full of man before the use of the technique, on the other hand brought a kind of belief of unlimited progress. It was necessary to give a more concise to human life in the midst of intense technological development. This attention would be perceived by the author Hispanic through the concept of "raciovitalismo", and by Germanic thinker before the concept of "communicative action".
