Resumo

Este relato de experiência docente procura descrever a realização do minicurso "Antecedentes históricos, percalços e a importância da implementação da Lei nº 10.639/03 na educação: problematização contemporânea do racismo". O minicurso foi ministrado no mês de novembro de 2014, na Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Campus A. C. Simões, e, envolveu estudantes das graduações em Pedagogia e em História, além de professores que ensinam em escolas públicas e privadas. O minicurso objetivou estimular a reflexão sobre a importância da implementação da Lei nº 10.639/03, de modo a reconhecerem as maneiras pelas quais a desigualdade racial foi construída historicamente com a escravização. Foram três momentos: uma apresentação expositiva sobre o negro na formação da sociedade brasileira, a problematização do ensino obrigatório da História e da Cultura Africanas e Afro-brasileiras e, por fim, a reprodução do vídeo "O preconceito cega" e uma dinâmica de representação social com o grupo presente. As atividades finais proporcionaram: a) que os participantes percebessem os negros como escravizados e não como escravos naturais; b) reflexões sobre a importância da efetiva implementação da Lei nº 10.639/03; e c) oportunidades dos estudantes e professores presentes expressarem opiniões e relatarem experiências. Percebeu-se que o ensino da História e da Cultura Africanas e Afro-brasileiras é de fundamental importância para combater a discriminação e o preconceito, além de contribuir para o respeito às diferenças e à diversidade presentes na escola.

HISTORICAL, MISHAPS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF LAW N. 10,639/03 IN EDUCATION: contemporary racism questioning

Abstract

This paper presents the report of the completion of the short course "Historical, mishaps and the importance of implementation of Law N. 10,639/03 in education: contemporary racism questioning". The short course was held in November 2014, at the Federal University of Alagoas, Campus A. C. Simões, and involved students of graduations in Education and History, as well as teachers who teach in public and private schools. The short course aimed to stimulate reflection on the importance of implementation of Law 10.639/03, to recognize the ways in which racial inequality was historically constructed with enslavement. There were three moments: an expository presentation on the black in the formation of Brazilian society, the questioning of the mandatory teaching of History and Culture African and Afro-Brazilian and finally playing the video "The blind prejudice" and a dynamic of social representation with the group. The final activities provided: a) that participants realize blacks as slaves and not as natural slaves; b) reflections on the importance of effective implementation of Law 10.639/03; c) opportunities for students and teachers present express opinions and share experiences. It was felt that the teaching of History and Culture African and Afro-Brazilian is of fundamental importance to combat discrimination and prejudice, and contribute to the respect for differences and diversity present in schools.
